CABINET [ JUN 2021 – OCT 2023 ]
Im Cabinet, unseren Räumen für die eigene Sammlung, präsentieren wir bis zum Ende des Jahres eine Auswahl, getroffen nicht von Kunsthistorikern sondern von Musikern. Frank Braun (Trompete) und Johannes Haage (Gitarre) haben die Werke aus der Sammlung gewählt und dazu kongeniale Musik geschaffen.
Beide Musiker haben zusammen ein ganzes Album experimenteller, aber sehr hörbarer Musik hier im Museum aufgenommen, inspiriert von den Werken, die sie hier gesehen haben.
Wir werden das Album noch in diesem Jahr herausbringen. Ich bin sehr stolz und geehrt über diese künstlerische Zusammenarbeit, die Musik und bildende Kunst verbindet. Ich hoffe, es werden noch weitere solche Projekte folgen.
In the Cabinet, the rooms dedicated to our own collection, we present, until the end of the year, a selection curated not by myself or some art historian but by two musicians. Frank Braun (trumpet) and Johannes Haage (guitar) have selected works from the collection to create congenial music to.
Together the two musicians have recorded an entire album of experimental but very listenable music here in the museum. They were inspired by the works they have seen here.
We will publish the album still this year. I am very proud and honoured by this artistic collaboration, connecting music and the visual arts. I do hope for more of these projects.
