Gregorio Iglesias Mayo (*1966, lebt und arbeitet in Borges Planques, Katalonien) und Miguel A. Aragón (*1978, Mexico, lebt und arbeitet in New York City) waren beide bereits 2014 und 2015 zu Gast im Till Richter Museum. Gregorio Iglesias Mayo hat in der Highlight Suite eine Retrospektive der letzten 23 Jahre gegeben. Miguel A. Aragón war 2014 der erste Rising Stars Residency Stipendiat.

Aus diesen Ausstellungen ergab sich für beide ein Projekt als Kooperation zwischen dem Till Richter Museum als privater Institution und dem Historisch-Technischen Museum Peenemünde als öffentlicher Einrichtung. Ein Jahr lang haben die Künstler an beiden Orten gearbeitet und sich intensiv mit der Geschichte, der Ästhetik und der Aura des Rüstungsstandortes Peenemünde beschäftigt. Als Ergebnis dieser künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung sind zusätzlich zur riesigen Leinwand (12x37m) von Gregorio Iglesias Mayo und einer raumgreifenden Installation von Miguel A. Aragón, die ab Mai im HTM ausgestellt werden, dutzende Zeichnungen, Malereien und Drucke beider Künstler entstanden. Außerdem wurde das Projekt von der katalanischen Fotografin und Kunsthistorikerin Gala Oró in Bild und Video dokumentiert. Das Till Richter Museum stellt bis August 2016 eine repräsentative Auswahl der Werke dieser historisch bedeutenden Zusammenarbeit aus.

Gregorio Iglesias Mayo (*1966, lives and works in Borges Planques, Catalonia) and Miguel A. Aragón (*1978, Mexico, lives and works in New York City) were both exhibiting at the TRM in 2014 and 2015. A cooperation between the artists, the private Till Richter Museum and the public Historical-Technical Museum Peenemünde ensued as a result of their exhibits here. For one year the artists worked at both places and immersed themselves deeply into the history, the esthetic and the aura of the weapon foundry that was Peenemünde during WW II. As a result of this artistic preoccupation stand a huge (12x37m) painting by Gregorio Iglesias Mayo and a room-filling installation works by Miguel A. Aragón which will be shown starting in May at the HTM. Moreover, the project was documented in photo and video by the Catalonian photographer and art historian Gala Oró. The Till Richter Museum will exhibit already now (until August) a representative selection from the dozens of paintings, prints and drawings in this historically significant cooperation.
