Der holländische Zeichner und Druckgrafiker RIK BUTER (*1974, lebt und arbeitet in Rotterdam) präsentiert im Prints and Drawings Room figurative Zeichnung und Drucke (Radierungen und Kaltnadel), die eine altmeisterliche Anmutung haben, jedoch eine sehr zeitgenössische Ästhetik mit Anleihen an Comic Kunst. Sein reichhaltiges Oeuvre stellen wir in einer zweiteiligen Ausstellung über das ganze Jahr 2023 vor. Buter wird außerdem eine Wandarbeit „on the fly“ anfertigen, die sich über den Lauf der Ausstellung entwickelt.
The Dutch draftsman and printmaker RIK BUTER (*1974) presents figurative drawings and prints (etching and drypoint) with an old-master vibe but a very contemporary aesthetic that borrows also from the comic strip realm. He will be showing in the prints and drawings room with a two-part show for the entire 2023 season. Buter will also make a wall drawing literally on the fly, that should develop over the course of the year.
