Tom R.M. (*1968, Ueckermünde, lebt und arbeitet in Buggenhagen) ist der erste Künstler, den wir ausstellen, der sogar in Buggenhagen lebt, wenn er auch vielgereist ist und seine Fotografie mehrere Jahrzehnte und etliche Länder umspannt. Wir haben dennoch Werke ausgewählt, die in der Natur rund um das Museum und auf der Insel Usedom entstanden sind. Bäume sind ein Symbol für Natur und Ewigkeit. Hier „stehen sie rum“ fast wie Leute, die nicht wissen, wo sie hingehören oder was aus ihnen wird: Ein Falke, ein Sturm oder ein großer Gesang. So zu lesen im Gedicht „Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen“ von R. M. Rilke aus dem Jahr 1899.
Tom R.M. (*1968, Ueckermünde, lives and works in Buggenhagen) is the first artist we exhibit who lives in Buggenhagen. Although Tom is very well-traveled and his photography of the past decades spans several countries, we chose to present a selection of photos taken in the nature around the Museum and on the island of Usedom. Trees are symbols of nature and eternity. Here they stand almost like people who do not know where they belong to; not knowing whether they are a "falcon, a storm or a great chorale", as in the Rilke poem I live my Life in growing Orbits from 1899.
